Centerpoint's Helping Hands

Centerpoint's Helping Hands (formerly Backpacks for the Homeless) is a group of individuals willing to volunteer their time and talents to help the homeless and needy people in our community.  We provide backpacks filled with items required for daily hygiene and warmth as well as clothing when possible.  This new ministry can go in many directions.  Our mission is to follow God's Word.  "...Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you do for me." Matt. 25:40

Centerpoint's Helping Hands Spring Mission

Spring is right around the corner! YAY! With a new season comes new needs for our homeless. The bitter cold will give way to warmer and wetter days. The spring weather brings its own challenges. I have compiled a list of items needed for the back packs.

You can choose to help in any way that works best for you. If you'd like to fill a pack, great! If you'd like to provide some of the things for a pack, great! If you want to make a financial donation and let someone shop for you, great! It all works.

Back packs- new or gently used (adult)

Ball caps

Bar soap
Plastic rain ponchos

Small plastic tarps

Underwear (new) combs

Reusable Water Bottles
Light jackets

Packs of gum
Packs of crackers (no peanut butter)

Please no hand sanitzer, mouth wash or cologne. Nothing containing alcohol.

So there you have it! This mission starts NOW. If you have anything to be dropped off at my home, let me know. Also items can be dropped off at Centerpoint Community Church, Center Twp. or message me and I'll meet you.

"What ever we do, for the least of our brothers¦"Matt 25:40

Thanks for your continued support of Centerpoint's Helping Hands and the needy in our community.

God Bless You for Your Kindness,
